You Are What You Eat

In our recent SheByShe diet and nutrition study, we asked participating women to think about the popular adage, “You are what you eat.”  If that’s true, we asked them to tell us what most accurately describes them.  Here are some of our favorite responses. 

  • I'm a mostly fresh, cooked from scratch, slightly spicy, comfort food

  • On the go foods that don’t have to be cooked

  • Small and picky

  • Mostly healthy fruits, vegetables, meat and fish with a dash of wine, popcorn and diet coke :-)

  • When I am good I am vegetables, eggs, and meat.  When I am bad I am pizza, donuts and cheese

  • I am like a sour patch kid. I'm sour then I'm sweet  

  • I would be a dairy

  • I’m a GMO apple

  • A peanut

  • A chicken nugget

  • Green. Whole. Bursting with nutrients

  • So-so healthy

  • An oreo

  • Cookies, salad, water

  • Fruity!  I LOVE seasonal fruit, and eat a LOT of it!

  • You are what you eat, but when money is low you eat whatever

  • I'm half veggie and half junk food

  • I am becoming a leaner cut of meat with an ample side of fruits and vegetables

  • I would be an array of foods, both healthy and unhealthy. However, I would be more unhealthy than healthy

  • I am what the cook in the family decides to make.  That person is not me, so I have delegated me.

  • Organic apple with Carmel and chocolate sauce
